Enterprise Products Engineering in CNS achieves business growth and delivers world class SW through these Customer focused, High Performing R&D teams, including 4LS/NPI for the following applications:

  • Nokia Core Enterprise Solutions – NCES
  • NFaaS / WING

The Enterprise Products team empowers CSPs & Enterprises to monetize the evolving opportunities of ‘5G economy’, relentlessly delivering value. Enterprise Products Engineering achieves business growth through creating a high-performing, customer focused, empowered global R&D team; delivering y-o-y improvements in quality, feature delivery speed, operations serviceability, and application innovation.

Purpose of the role

The Head of NCES Engineering will be responsible for overall product development & support of Nokia Core Enterprise Solutions


Key responsibilities

  • Leading a high-performance global software development organization, that is motivated and empowered to deliver y-o-y improvements in quality, feature content, and customer satisfaction
  • On-time delivery with quality of periodic Software Releases, according to PLM business priorities
  • Evolution of CNS portfolio for Enterprise WAN to improve competitiveness, notably in 5G and cloud native software and APIs to enable faster feature delivery
  • Structured Problem Solving in collaboration with stakeholders across different organizations
  • Support for the introduction and operation of the solution in customer networks
  • Focused 4LS and NPI activities management to ensure “right first time” deployments and fast response to issues in the field
  • Simplify processes / roles to eliminate waste and quality control
  • Development of new products and cross-product solutions in response to business opportunities
  • Maintenance support of our customers with timely resolution of issues

  • Release timeliness
  • Feature content adherence
  • New Customer defects (NCDR)
  • Open faults on dev trunk
  • Patent filings (YTD)
  • Timely assessment of security vulnerabilities
  • Usability/upgrade time
  • Confirmed Outages – product attributable
  • Customer Satisfaction (CES Positivity)
  • L4 Ticket resolution times


Financial Metrics



Skills and experience

  • Deep understanding of Core Networks portfolio
  • Engineering or Services experience in delivering Core portfolio to Nokia customers
  • Strong influencing skills, with established relationships at senior and officer level (CxO) executives
  • Proven track record in structured problem solving
  • People agility – solid people/team coach, adaptable, authentic, and inclusive leader who leads with a purpose
  • Knowledgeable of CNS portfolio & Nokia portfolio, and business environment
  • Strong leadership, influencing, and facilitation skills. Highly organized with strong focus on driving results
  • Must be able to work in a fast paced, results oriented organization where leadership, teamwork and commitment to execution are essential
  • Proven track record in delivering strong financial results in key projects
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
